Sheehan Medical will announce the appointment of a liquidator for the recently closed €90 million Cork Medical Centre (CMC) this week.

It is understood that KPMG will be appointed to liquidate the assets of Ireland’s newest hospital, which had 75 employees.

The hospital shut its doors on March 9, but had hoped to find a new investor or strike a deal with the National Treatment Purchase Fund that would buy it some time. Sheehan...
