Insolvency experts are predicting a surge in the number of firms seeking examinership after the Supreme Court paved the way for leases to be scrapped in examinership cases.

The court decision late last week could help to save more than 300 jobs at Linen Supply of Ireland, which took the test case to the Supreme Court.

The company has been in examinership for the past two months, but the High Court had refused to allow it...
