Limerick students are top of the class with sign language app

Limerick’s Salesian Secondary College has won the Junior Achievement Company of the Year 2012 with its Sign4Life smart phone app.

Coleen Mullane, Ciara Reidy, Caoimhe O'Neill and Fiona Mangan from Limerick’s Salesian Secondary College will represent Ireland in Bucharest.

Limerick’s Salesian Secondary College has won the Junior Achievement Company of the Year 2012 with its Sign4Life smart phone app.

The application is designed to teach people Irish sign language and the team plans to release it in other major languages. The Limerick college will now represent Ireland against 32 European teams at the Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition in Bucharest in August.
