Life's leftover luxuries

Coming from a large family, I've never found leftovers to be a problem, as there was usually none to be found. However, the Christmas turkey is a different matter.

Coming from a large family, I've never found leftovers to be a problem, as there was usually none to be found. However, the Christmas turkey is a different matter entirely; whatever turkey you buy will leave plenty meat that is surplus to requirements.

This is no doubt about this because the turkey isn't the only source of sustenance on the festive table, where it sits beside glazed ham, spiced beef and all the necessary trimmings.
