Lidl Ireland, which operates 174 supermarkets across Ireland, is at the early stages of producing a range of Irish goods which can be exported to its branches throughout Europe.
In his first media interview, the newly-appointed managing director of Lidl Ireland, Brendan Proctor, said the aim was for Lidl stores in other markets to have an Irish week' in the same way that stores here have Spanish, Asian and Italian-themed weeks.
