Liam Sloyan has been named as the first regulator of the National Lottery and will take up his post on November 17.

Liam Sloyan has been named as the first regulator of the National Lottery and will take up his post on November 17.

The appointment, which was announced by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin, followed an open recruitment process.

Sloyan joins from the Health Insurance Authority, where is he is chief executive and registrar and was involved in the development of the regulatory infrastructure of the health insurance market.
