Given the large majority of the current government, I welcome Tom McGurk's challenge to the 'political establishment' and his search for alternatives (*20/5/2012*). But he seems to be a late convert to the dangers of giving too much power to the political establishment. Judging by his articles during the Celtic tiger period, McGurk seemed happy that one group of people was in power "in perpetuity" (his words).
I welcome his conversion to the point of view...
