Children's hospital debate

Talk of building a "scaled down" version of the National Children's Hospital on the Mater site (*26/02/2012*) is dangerous, as well as being disingenuous, and does not fit with the stated government remit to build "a centre of excellence for the children of Ireland".

We still need a modern, 445-bed hospital, so what do we cut? Teaching? Research? If we go down this route, there is absolutely no way that a 'yellow pack'...
