Train of thought
Among the arguments surrounding EirGrid's plans to erect pylons and power lines linking Munster and Leinster, is it possible that we have overlooked a solution using the example of the old post and telegraphs company?
Many years ago they erected their poles and cables along railway lines. We still have a rail network linking all the major towns in Munster and South Leinster to Dublin. Surely it is not beyond the abilities...
