Lett Group to sue Wexford town council

A Wexford shellfish processor that employs 190 people is suing Wexford Borough Council for €5.2 million over alleged damage to one of its prime sources of supply.

A Wexford shellfish processor that employs 190 people is suing Wexford Borough Council for €5.2 million over alleged damage to one of its prime sources of supply.

The Lett Group, which is one of the largest suppliers of mussels in the country, is claiming that a major mussel bed off the coast of Wexford town has been partly destroyed by the town's main drainage system.

The action was mentioned in the High Court earlier this month...
