The owners of the Leinster Leader plan to develop the group's properties after their regional newspaper business is sold.

The owners of the Leinster Leader plan to develop the group's properties after their regional newspaper business is sold. Sources close to the group have said that they will only give the new owners of their seven newspapers short-term leases of most of the properties.

The intention is to give the purchasers a couple of years to find alternative premises before the group's owners develop the properties.

The Leader's owners would charge them around €500,000...
