Legislation best for EU pact, says fiscal group

John McHale, chair of the government's Fiscal Advisory Council has elaborated on the group's recommendation that any new EU fiscal pact should not be enshrined in the Irish constitution.

Speaking on Morning Ireland on RTE, he agreed that credibility was very important when it came to the fiscal pact but said the nature of constitutions differed a lot between countries.
