One in five trains travelling between the country's two biggest cities ran more than 10 minutes late last month.

The latest train performance and track record statistics from Irish Rail show that, in November, InterCity services between Dublin and Cork departed or arrived on time in only 80 per cent of journeys. But delay is assessed as more than 10 minutes against scheduled journey times.
