Le Brocquy to star in high-expectations Irish art sale

More than €2 million-worth of sales are expected to be generated at Whyte’s Important Irish Art sale tomorrow.

More than €2 million-worth of sales are expected to be generated at Whyte’s Important Irish Art sale tomorrow.

Almost 200 works with estimates ranging from €2,000 to €200,000 will go under the hammer at the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Nearly 2,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day exhibition of the works in the sale.

Ian Whyte, managing director of Whyte’s, said the fine arts market was buoyant and sales were strong.
