Law Society probes complaints against solicitors on advertising

The Law Society is investigating a number of complaints about solicitors accused of breaching advertising regulations.

The complaints relate to advertising campaigns aimed at attracting clients ahead of the December closing date for applications to the Residential Institutions Redress Board.

Groups representing people who claim to have been falsely accused of abuse have complained to the Law Society and the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) about solicitors' advertisements.
