The Law Society expressed concern to RTE before last week’s Prime Time Investigates programme, which reported on overcharging and professional misconduct by solicitors. In a ‘‘private and confidential’’ e-mail, sent ten days before the broadcast, Law Society director general Ken Murphy said the Fighting the Law programme could give a ‘‘false and damaging’’ impression of solicitors.
