Department's legal bill disclosed
The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation has spent €4.9 million on external legal services over the past five years, minister Richard Bruton told the Dáil. Fees to solicitors and barristers last year were down by more than €1 million, compared to 2009.
Payments totalled €1.3 million in 2007, €817,000 in 2008, €1.6 million in 2009, €643,000 in 2010 and €578,000 last year.
