Homebond, the building insurance agent that has refused to accept any liability for the problems at Priory Hall, recorded a surplus of more than €2 million last year.

Homebond, which provides defect cover for new homes, made a profit of €2.8 million on its investments.

A year ago this weekend, Priory Hall residents were forced to move out of their homes when their apartment complex was evacuated due to fire safety issues.
