Lansdowne Road is set to be awarded the 2011 Uefa Cup final this week, an event which will generate more than €100 million for the Irish economy. The executive committee of Uefa, the governing body of European soccer, will decide to award the second-most important fixture in European football to Dublin’s newly refurbished stadium, while the 2011 Champions League final will go to Wembley stadium in London.
