Landsbanki, the owner of Merrion Capital, is considering launching a number of deposit-taking and mortgage products in the Irish market.

Landsbanki, the owner of Merrion Capital, is considering launching a number of deposit-taking and mortgage products in the Irish market.

The Icelandic bank is already in the deposit-taking business in Britain through its London branch and British subsidiary Heritable Bank. It launched a new range of saving products under the brand name Icesave in Britain last year and is also active in British residential mortgage lending.
