Lake hopes to build on profit
Lake Communications, the Dublin technology firm bought for €35 million earlier this year, made a pre-tax profit of E1 million last year compared with a loss of E3.7 million the previous year.
Accounts just filed by the firm show that its turnover rose almost 10 per cent to €23.9 million in the 12 months to the end of September last. At the same time, its cost of sales fell by more than €1 million to €16.6 million and its operating expenses fell by €1.7 million to €6.2 million. “The directors anticipate further growth in turnover and profitability in 2005,” said the accounts.
