Lagan records strong growth

Lagan Technologies, a Belfast firm that makes software for the public sector, plans to expand after beating its revenue target of stg£7 million (€10 million) in the year to the end of March.

Lagan Technologies, a Belfast firm that makes software for the public sector, plans to expand after beating its revenue target of stg£7 million (€10 million) in the year to the end of March.

Des Speed, chief executive of Lagan, said the company expected to hire about 40 more staff, bringing total numbers to 150. The company is expanding in Britain and in the US, where it has won its first deals with government bodies.
