The Golden Turban is seen as the most important late portrait by John Lavery of his glamorous wife, and seeing is believing.

A dazzling image of a sophisticate in her prime, it portrays the re al Hazel , as opposed to the depiction of her as the mythical Kathleen Ni Houlihan that once graced Irish banknotes, and truth has a potency. Measuring 76 by 63 centimetres, it is expected to realise between €441,000 and €665,000...
