Ladbrokes union dispute over restructuring plan

Ladbrokes, the country's second-largest betting chain, is in dispute with trade unions over a restructuring plan known as Project Rafael.

Ladbrokes, the country's second-largest betting chain, is in dispute with trade unions over a restructuring plan known as Project Rafael.

The British-owned bookmaker is attempting to push though changes to current working conditions across its Irish outlets. The company says the changes are required to maintain current staffing levels.

The company is proposing to implement Project Rafael over the next 12 to 18 months.
