Labour market shows signs of pick-up

A spate of new surveys has found that job opportunities are on the rise

The Irish labour market is showing signs of as light pick-up, according to several reports released last week.

The latest Manpower Employment Outlook survey found a ‘‘cautiously optimistic’’ net employment outlook (NEO) of plus 3 per cent among employers in the pharmaceutical sector.

The recruitment group questioned 600 companies for the survey.
