A shake-up of the state's labour activation schemes is under way, with the government planning to officially unveil its new 'Pathways to Work' plan within the next fortnight.

The initiative will see an extension of the state's active intervention in welfare and training programmes to ensure the unemployed are encouraged to take up available work or training.
