Kitchen survey taps into interior design trends

Irish homeowners like large, bright, open-plan kitchens that have central islands and multi-use spaces

A recent survey about kitchens conducted by architecture and interior design website Houzz gave an interesting insight into current Irish interior design trends.

Conducted among its registered users in Ireland, the survey found that a little more than 10 per cent of Irish homeowners spent more than €50,000 on their kitchen renovation and a fifth of kitchen renovators spent between €25,000 and €50,000.

Grey is still popular, with a quarter of updated kitchens (26 per cent)...
