Kingspan may move panels production to Britain

Kingspan has warned that it may cease production at its Irish insulated panels plant in favour of lower-cost facilities in Britain, if staff do not agree to cost-saving measures.

Kingspan has warned that it may cease production at its Irish insulated panels plant in favour of lower-cost facilities in Britain, if staff do not agree to cost-saving measures.

The company, which last month reported pre-tax profits of €25 million for the six months to June, a fall of 70 per cent, said its Irish insulated panels business needed to become more competitive in overseas markets to remain viable.
