The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, is to outline the steps towards economic recovery taken by Ireland in his St Patrick's Day speech at a ceremony to be hosted by Barack Obama.

The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, is to outline the steps towards economic recovery taken by Ireland in his St Patrick's Day speech at a ceremony to be hosted by US President Barack Obama in the White House on Tuesday.

Kenny will present Obama with a traditional bowl of shamrock at the keynote event and in his speech pay tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Irish people.
