If Enda Kenny really wants to abolish the Seanad, he will have to come up with better arguments than those he has so far supplied.

Last week, he suggested that the Seanad should be up for the chop because it "did nothing to challenge the unattainable [sic] policies of the Celtic Tiger". Can he really be serious? By this measure, the Dáil would also be abolished, as indeed,would Kenny himself.
