Kenmare Resources reports rise in profit, revenue

UPDATE: Mining and exploration company Kenmare Resources has reported higher revenues and profit for the 2012 business year, outlines "very positive" outlook.

Mining and exploration company Kenmare Resources has reported higher revenues and profit for the 2012 business year.

The company reported revenue of $234.6 million, compared with $167.5 million in 2011, while EBITDA profit rose to $98.9 million from $71.7 million.

Kenmare said 2012 had been an eventful year; the expansion of its Moma titanium minerals mine in Mozambique, which will increase production capacity by 50 per cent, was now at the commissioning phase.
