Most articles on the topic of housing costs are fundamentally based on emotion and moral outrage and not on hard figures and sums.

So, here’s a figure that ought to give you some pleasant indigestion. The figure is €65,000 and it’s the amount that is roughly being charged per home in the planning application p/0305/16 which was granted in February in Glenamuck in Carrickmines in south Dublin.
