Don't tune into the budget coverage on Tuesday hoping for much good news. The imperative over the last five years has been to raise taxes to fund our public services and pay interest on national borrowings.

Tuesday's budget will be no different. The two pillar taxes', Vat and PAYE, are collected from consumers and employees by businesses the length and breadth of the country.
