Just nine per cent of Irish people trust banks, according to the latest Edelman Trust Barometer, a global survey with an Irish element.

Just nine per cent of Irish people trust banks, according to the latest Edelman Trust Barometer, a global survey with an Irish element.

The outcome represents an increase of three points from the last survey but still makes the financial sector the least trusted of any.

Overall, trust in business in Ireland fell by three points from 46 per cent last year to 43 percent this year.
