Waterford firm wins Gobi reservoir contract

In July, Waterford firm FLI Environmental secured a €1.6 million contract to build a reservoir in the Gobi Desert in southern Mongolia. FLI agreed to build the Maiga Mountain Reservoir in the province of Umnogabi to support the new Tsogt-Tsetsii Sum coal mine development by Mongolian-owned Energy Resources LLC.

In the same month, Kinesense, a start-up specialising in advanced video analytics technology, secured investment funding of €400,000 from Maynooth-based Butler Group.
