A Supreme Court judge has slammed excessive legal costs in family law cases.

A Supreme Court judge has slammed excessive legal costs in family law cases. Mr Justice Adrian Hardiman was giving judgment in an appeal by a husband against two High Court orders in a judicial separation hearing.

The businessman, referred to simply as JD, had been ordered to pay his wife, BD, €4 million from his group of companies and to make a €100,000 contribution towards his wife's legal costs.
