Journal of Music reaches 100,000 online readers

An Arts Council-funded online magazine has clocked up 100,000 readers in the first ten months of 2014.

An Arts Council-funded online magazine that operates a crowd-sourced schedule of events, jobs and opportunities in music has clocked up 100,000 readers in the first ten months of this year.

The Journal of Music (see, which is based in Galway, has had more than 6,000 events and opportunities – text, audio, video and imagery – added to its listings by readers.

Its international readership accounts for 46 per cent. The publication started out in 2000...
