Jobs Special: IT sector currently leads the salary stakes

Employees in IT, sales, engineering and accounting and finance are among Ireland's biggest earners, according to salary surveys by recruitment websites RecruitIreland and IrishJobs.ie.

Employees in IT, sales, engineering and accounting and finance are among Ireland's biggest earners, according to salary surveys by recruitment websites RecruitIreland and IrishJobs.ie.

Over a quarter of IT workers are earning €60,000 or more, according to the 2012 survey by IrishJobs.ie.

Sector-by-sector surveys on RecruitIreland.com offer breakdowns of a number of roles in the same pay bracket, among them software development managers (€60,000), IT operations managers (€70,000) and telecommunications programme managers (€68,000).
