One of the country’s largest mortgage brokers has laid off more than 10 per cent of its staff, amid the slowdown in the property sector.

One of the country’s largest mortgage brokers has laid off more than 10 per cent of its staff, amid the slowdown in the property sector.

Irish Mortgage Corporation, which is based on Baggot Street in Dublin, has made 13 people redundant, leaving it with about 100 staff. Frank Conway, a director of the firm, said the layoffs came mainly from administration staff and short-term IT contractors.
