JD Wetherspoon to open first Irish pub in Dublin in July

British pub operator JD Wetherspoon will open its first pub in the Republic in Blackrock, Co. Dublin in July with the creation of 60 jobs.

British pub operator JD Wetherspoon will open its first pub in the Republic in Blackrock, Co. Dublin in July with the creation of 60 jobs.

The Watford-based company will spend €3 million on acquiring and developing the former Tonic Bar on Carysfort Avenue with building work due to begin next week.

The pub, to be named The Three Tun Tavern, is set to open on July 8th.
