January advertising spend drops by 5%

Advertising spend dropped by nearly 5 per cent in January, according to figures issued by Nielsen AdDynamics.

Advertising spend dropped by nearly 5 per cent in January, according to figures issued by Nielsen AdDynamics. The overall measured investment levels for January were €67.6 million, 4.7 per cent below the same month last year. Around half of this was press advertising, which totalled €33.4million.

The fall was in line with overall market expectations for another challenging year in advertising.
