It is amazing how low some Hollywood directors will go to get some good footage. James Cameron went 6.8 miles to be precise.

He has just dived alone to the Earth's deepest point in a specially designed submarine for a National Geographic 3-D feature film, National Geoghrapic. He is the first man to travel alone to the depths of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean.
