IT sector faces rare challenge

While the last government made several announcements on developing a smart economy, that economy was already up and running. IT is now one of the strongest growth areas in Ireland.

While the IT sector took a knock when the major downturn hit in 2009, it has been one of the quickest areas in the Irish economy to recover and not a week goes by without a major jobs announcement.
