An Israeli serial entrepreneur is raising more than €20 million to fund a new medical devices company based in Galway.
Ascher Shmulewitz, a cardiologist and electronic engineer, founded Cappella Medical Devices last year and the firm employs 15 people between Ireland and the United States.
It has its research centre and clean-rooms in Galway and its corporate headquarters in Boston.
