Israel will yet again escape censure over passport affair
Neither Israel nor its lethal secret service, Mossad, will ever admit to any part in the murder of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, or the illegal use of EU passports
Perhaps Manuel, the hapless Spanish waiter from Fawlty Towers, learned to say ‘‘I know naaaathing’’ from a customer in the Israeli diplomatic service. Last week, Israeli diplomats were marching into foreign ministry buildings in Dublin, London, Paris and Berlin to repeat Manuel’s famous catchphrase.
But, as in the famous comedy series, we can see around the corners and we recognise the familiar picture - and this time it’s not funny.
