ISME urges action on SME credit
UPDATE: The chairman of the small to medium enterprise group ISME John Ryan says the government must do more to support SMEs and that the banks are not lending to them.
The chairman of small to medium enterprise group ISME John Ryan state-owned banks were not lending to the SME sector at present, despite having been given government targets to do so.
"We need liquidity in the market and we think the banks ought to provide that," he told RTE's Morning Ireland programme.
