An Irish initiative which provides grants to fund young people's business ideas has been replicated in 30 countries across the globe.

YouthBank is a grant-making programme run by young people and managed by the Irish Youth Foundation (IYF). Founded in 1999, there are now 18 local YouthBanks across the country and they have been particularly successful in areas of disadvantage. The banks provide small grants to fund young people's good ideas to benefit their communities.
