Profits at a technology distribution company owned by Mayo man Frank Salmon almost tripled last year as turnover increased to more than €155 million.

StorIT, the holding company for Salmon’s CMS Peripherals, made a pre-tax profit of €1.08 million in 2006, up from €397,000 for the year before, according to a company trading statement.
