Irish stock exchange reports strong growth in H1 trading volumes

The strong demand for Irish shares during 2013 continued into the first half of 2014, according to new figures published today by the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE).

The strong demand for Irish shares during 2013 continued into the first half of 2014, according to new figures published today by the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE).

The number of trades dealt on the ISE was 2.2 million for the first half of the year — a 32 per cent increase on the same period in 2013.

The total value of equity trades between January and June was €31.8 billion, a 7 per cent increase on the €29.8 billion recorded...
