Irish show their worth
The Mobile World Congress attracted the best and brightest from the tech world, including from Ireland, writes Adrian Weckler in Barcelona
More than 70 Irish companies attended the annual Mobile World Congress convention in Barcelona last week.
The event, which attracted more than 60,000 visitors, was a platform for senior executives in the manufacturing, hardware and software sectors to reveal the latest technology for mobile phones, tablet PCs and telecoms networks.
Highlights of the show included the launch of new tablet computers from Samsung, HTC and Motorola, and 3D smartphones and tablets from LG.
